A native Texan, born and raised in Plano, TX, Dr. Jamie Sieng is thrilled to be practicing in her home of North Dallas. She attended the Texas Academy of Math and Science located at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX in lieu of high school, graduated from Texas A&M University College Station with a B.S. in Biomedical Science, and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry – Texas A&M Health Science Center located in Dallas, TX.
She always knew she wanted to be a dentist after going through braces as a child. The experience of the great people that took care of her, and the ‘magic’ of transforming her crooked smile to straight made a long-lasting impression in her life. She spent 2 years being a dental assistant while studying to go to dental school, and knew this was the right career path for her.
During her studies at Baylor College of Dentistry, Dr. JS made the Dean’s List and received a scholarship for her high marks. She was an active participant in community services like Give Kids a Smile, officer of clubs, and spent a summer at Columbia University and Ohio State University externing with the pediatric specialist residents. She decided to stay with general dentistry instead of specializing due to enjoying all aspects of the vast array of procedures modern general dentistry offers.
She is a strong believer in always learning and takes Continuing Education (CE) courses to keep current with the latest technology and innovative procedures. She maintains active membership with the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Texas Academy of General Dentists, and Dallas Asian Dental Association. She regularly attends dental meetings and study clubs to be a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Jamie Sieng recently had her first baby girl in January 2014. Besides being a new mom, her and her husband have 2 dogs and they love to eat, entertain with friends, and to travel.
