JS Family Dental offers clear SureSmile plastic aligners, a modern approach to orthodontic work. The treatment uses clear plastic trays, not metal braces, to invisibly straighten your teeth. Sometimes called adult braces, the people at work you won't even notice you are wearing them!
How Clear Braces work
Dr. Sieng will first do a general exam with photos and impressions to make sure you are a good candidate for braces. 3D technology is then used to create customized plastic trays like the one pictured above.
When worn, these plastic trays are difficult to see. They will slowly and gently guide your teeth until they are straight, and must be worn when not eating, brushing or flossing. One reason our patients love clear braces is that they can still eat popcorn and other hard foods that you must avoid when wearing traditional braces. The plastic trays also won't cause the cheeks to blister or get cut like some patients experience when wearing normal braces.
The entire process of wearing the trays will last for about 6 to 18 months with appointments required every 6 weeks. You will go through about 4-12 sets of retainers during your treatment. At the end you will be given sleeping retainers to make sure your new, beautiful smile won't shift.
